I am a c-5 quadriplegic and have been going to physical therapy and occupational therapy for sometime before hitting a plateau. For me it’s more than just getting frustrated, it’s down right scary. I my situation there’s more than enough to try and overcome and get used to, but when you think there’s no more getting better, that sucks! However, as soon as I started going to Zia Therapy I started making big improvements. Especially with my hands. I had almost no functional use when I started Zia Therapy, but now with only a few months in I’m able to get back to my passion of welding and building custom gates, which is becoming a source of income. That in itself makes the outlook for life much easier and positive. Not to mention the ability to use a knife and fork again, be able to draw, hand write a letter to my daughter, getting in and out of bed by myself and believe it or not I can do a complete sit-up! Sit-ups aren’t common or even expected with my spinal cord injury but I’ll take it.
In closing Zia Therapy has an exceptional team with a vast amount of knowledge and expertise and goes above and beyond what I expected. I owe a lot to them.
Thank you Zia Therapy.
